We Want You!
Volunteering for the Trail of Terror
From monsters to ticket-takers to maintenance and construction, we’re looking for several ghould – make that “good” – men and women. Acting roles are commonly filled by local students, but we can always use specialized logistics and support personnel. The 2017 season runs for 12 nights, beginning the last weekend of September and running through every weekend in October and Halloween.
If you have a background in cosmetology or have experience with Halloween make-up requirements, we need you!
All volunteers must be 14 years of age or older at the time of the Trail event. We apologize to those who turn 14 on 1 November – them’s the breaks. We appreciate your enthusiasm and we’ll see you next year.
All volunteers must complete a Trail of Terror pre-registration form (link coming soon!) and provide photo ID with proof of age or make arrangements to deliver that documentation prior to participating in any Trail operations. We accept the following forms of identification. Please note this list is not exhaustive; contact us with questions.
- Driver’s licenses
- Learner’s permits
- State-issued ID cards
- Military ID cards
- Student ID cards with proof of birthday (e.g., birth certificates). Student IDs alone are insufficient as they do not have the date of birth printed on them.
All volunteers – even those who have participated in prior seasons – must attend an orientation session. Sessions will be held at Stoney Point Fire Department Station 13. Please plan to arrive no later than 6:45 PM to facilitate the registration process.
Volunteers wanting to act in specific zones on the Trail will need to audition for their parts. Audition information for the 2017 season will be distributed during the orientation sessions.
